Ibiza April 12th Update

Deadmau5, the most disgruntled man to wear a mouse hat since your jealous sibling at your 5th birthday, returns to Ibiza for the first time since 2014. He will play 2 dates for Eric Prydz’ Tuesday night parties at Hï Ibiza on July 18 and August 22.

While Eric Prydz handles things in the main room at Hï Ibiza, it has just been announced that Ibiza mainstay Andrea Oliva will be taking control of things in the side room, or ‘Club Room’. Andrea Oliva & Friends will take place every Tuesday from June 20 until August 22.

Norwegian tropical house shooting star Kygo will hold down a 10-week residency at Playa d’en Bossa outdoor supervenue Ushuaïa every Sunday from July 9. He’ll bring a stack of friends with whom you’ll be able to enjoy summery tunes whilst swanning about in pools, hands in the air, humming along in gay abandon. Sounds all very nice.

Lovers of house will be pleased to hear that Jamie Jones and his Paradise parties will return to the end-of-the-runway underground club DC-10 on Wednesdays in 2017. The opening party will take place on June 21 and the series will finish up on 27 September. No lineup announcements yet, but they are always one of the hottest tickets on the island.

Feeling the urge to see people play some actual instruments?! Ibiza Rocks has unveiled details for their series of live events taking place throughout the summer and they are as big as they are varied. Primal Scream, The Kooks, Stormzy, Bastille and Clean Bandit are just some of the bands who will be able to wet your whistle in a live music kind of way. Check their website for dates.

Afterlife presented by Tale of Us, offering sounds of the underground will move homes this year to Privilege. Opening night is June 29 and will take place every Thursday thereafter. They have a huge lineup of big names ready to push the slower, more subtle sounds of Ibiza including Dixon, Nina Kraviz, Jamie Jones, KiNK, Maceo Plex, Daniel Avery and many more.
